It is well known that Kingsley & Gray is all about creating Earth Friendly products that are sustainable, recyclable and won't harm your pet or the planet. We truly discourage feeding your pet from plastic bowls, as not only is there a world-wide drive to ban plastic entirely, but it is truly not a hygienic tool for your pet to eat or drink out of. Here are a few reasons why:

Bowls made of plastic can be easily chewed or scratched by your dog, leaving places for bacteria to build up.

In addition to BPA, plastic contains other chemicals that can leach into your dog's water and make him sick.

Some dogs may develop an allergy to the plastic, resulting in a mild skin reaction on the chin or face.

We have therefore created a truly beautiful bowl that your pets can eat and drink out of safely, that won't harm the environment and of course look gorgeous in your home too. We took a lot of time creating just the right shape and design that worked well for your pets to eat out of, yet is also unique to Kingsley & Gray. It is simple, clean, fresh and well... just beautiful.

We finally settled on a stunning white Porcelain Bowl that is clean, crisp, and stronger than ceramic. Both porcelain and ceramic are made up of clay, however porcelain is made from more refined clay and is fired at higher temperatures... this makes it stronger. Of course we just had to add our own little touch of gold luster, to give it that special finishing touch that is K&G. Each bowl is made by hand, by a wonderful Artisan who's passion for clay, creativity and beauty made her a perfect fit to make our bowls for us. As they are handmade, there can be slight variations between them in shape and size.

These are special little works of functional art for both you and your pet to enjoy. Each bowl is made up on order and therefore takes a little time to sculpt, paint, glaze and cure - but is so worth the wait!

Delivery:

Kindly allow approximately 2-3 weeks for your beautiful order to be made up for you. During this time, your bowl will be moulded, fired, glazed, hand-painted and re-fired before being specially wrapped and packed for you. It takes time... but is so worth it! In some cases, where stock is on hand, we will deliver sooner. We charge a flat rate delivery fee of R80.00 for this product (SA only).

Caring for your Bowl:

Do not put in a Dishwasher. Wash by hand with regular detergent and water. Rinse well. Do not drop and take care when washing not to chip on the tap. Treat with the same care that you would your own glass or ceramic kitchenware.

What is Gold Luster glazing? Containing actual gold, the luster is an overglaze that is typically applied to accent or highlight ceramic wares or jewelry. It adds an elegant metallic, mirror-like finish to the work. Precious metal lusters are considered overglazes because they are typically applied to glaze-fired pottery, on top of the glaze. When painted on, they appear a dark, reddish brown and when fired, this burns away to reveal the gorgeous gold finish.
