MARTINGALE Collars are a type of Dog Collar that provides more control over the animal without the choking effect of a slip collar. The larger loop (or collar) is slipped over the dogs head onto the neck and the lead is then attached to the smaller loop via the D-Ring. Should the dog "pull" the smaller loop will tighten and humanely let the dog know that that isn't the correct behavior. It only tightens partly, therefore it does not "choke" the dog. These collars have control at the back of the neck, rather than at the front, by the throat, as is the case with flat collars. Martingale Collars are for walking your dogs only and are not ideal for everyday wearing just at home, as they are loose on the neck. Rather consider our standard Collars for everyday wearing.

Our Collars are adjustable, however below is our size guide for your assistance. Please measure your dog to ensure that you order the correct size and with the Martingale Collar, please add on an extra +/-4cm. As these products are handmade especially for you, they are not returnable, therefore please double-check the sizing carefully before placing your order. If you need assistance, simply email us and we will gladly offer you some advice. For larger breeds, like Great Danes, they may require special sizing, therefore we'd be very happy to make something especially for your unique dog.

Care Instructions:

As with all well-worn and loved garments, your collar is going to get dirty. We recommend a simple hand wash in cold water, rinse well and leave to dry flat in a shaded area.
